Well Native was born out of a passion for caring for one's health and well-being, using ingredients sourced from Mother Nature that have been used for centuries for both their medicinal and healing properties. We wanted to get back to basics and create products that are not only nourishing but are authentic, soothing and simplistic in their essence.

SLEEP - to rest the mind & body
Kakadu plum
A small fruit that’s grown on the native Australian Kakadu plum tree, which is predominately found across the northern regions of Australia, the Kakadu plum is rich in nutrients, high in fibre and contains essential vitamins and minerals. They contain the highest levels of vitamin C of any food in the world (100 times more than an orange) which works as a powerful antioxidant protecting against damaging free radicals, boosting the immune system, increasing collagen production, and promoting good heart health and brain function. The Kakadu plum is considered a superfood and has been used for its medicinal properties within Indigenous cultures for thousands of years.
Quandong
Quandong is a native Australian fruit that grows in semi-dry and dry climates throughout Australia and is one of the only fruit trees that can still grow and flourish in drought-like areas. The fruit itself has a sweet and tangy flavour and is high in vitamin C, with double the amount than what’s found in an orange. Whilst it’s often used to make pies or turned into jams or sauces to glaze meat, quandong has also been used for its medicinal properties, especially amongst Indigenous Australians. The seeds can be used to create essential oils and can treat anything from toothaches to body aches.
Valerian root extract
Valerian root is a herb that can be found in many parts of the world and is used to promote restful sleep, treat sleep disorders such as insomnia, and help those who suffer from anxiety and stress. Whilst the plant grows flowers that have a subtle scent, it’s the root that’s used in supplements, teas and tinctures such as ours at Well Native. Valerian root has been used for its natural medicinal properties since back in ancient Greece and Roman days, and now its calming properties can improve sleep quality, increase the length of sleep and decrease the length of time it takes to fall asleep.
Rhodiola rosea extract
A popular herb that can treat symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, Rhodiola rosea extract has been used in traditional medicine for years and is considered an adaptogen, being that it helps the body fight off stressors, whether they be physical, chemical or biological. Rhodiola rosea extract can also improve mental concentration and alertness, help decrease both physical and mental fatigue, and can support rest and a good night's sleep.
ENERGY - for optimal vitality
Finger lime
Finger lime trees are commonly found in northern New South Wales and Queensland subtropical rainforests and grow a citrus fruit that has a very distinct ‘pearl-like’ pulp resembling the appearance of caviar. The flavour of the pearls is sweet and juicy and is often used to make jams and marmalades, in desserts and drinks, and also goes well with fresh fish. It’s considered a gourmet bushfood and has been used within Aboriginal cultures for thousands of years as both a delicious food source and medicinal treatment—in particular in treating cuts and skin infections. Rich in antioxidants and nutrients including vitamins A, C, E, folate and potassium, finger limes help to protect the immune system, boost collagen production in the skin and help with digestion.
Cinnamon myrtle
Cinnamon myrtle is another Australian native plant found in the subtropical rainforests in both New South Wales and Queensland regions. The leaves of the tree give off a cinnamon fragrance and can be used to add an earthy flavour to recipes including desserts, stews and curries—similar to the way kaffir lime leaves add flavour to dishes—and can also be used to make fragrant herbal teas. Used amongst Indigenous cultures and early settlers to Australia for both cooking and healing properties, cinnamon myrtle can help treat heartburn and colic, assist with healthy digestion, and with its antibacterial properties, can help to treat infections.
Chlorella
Chlorella is freshwater algae that’s rich in nutrients and considered a superfood because of its expansive nutritional profile. To gain its benefits, chlorella can only be consumed as a supplement, either as an extract, powder, or tablet/capsule form. It’s made up of approximately 60% protein and is also a complete protein—containing all of the essential amino acids—which helps to boost energy levels and increase strength and endurance. Chlorella is also high in antioxidants, iron and various vitamins and minerals that help to enhance the immune system, improve blood health and lower cholesterol.
Green tea extract
Green tea extract is packed with antioxidants that help to fight off illness and disease, protecting the body against oxidative stress and providing a lot of health benefits. Some of these include improved brain function and alertness, and assisting with overall heart and blood health. Being that green tea extract also contains caffeine, it helps to increase energy levels and can even contribute to weight loss, allowing the body to burn more calories. It’s one of the most popular teas throughout the world and can often be found as an ingredient in many health food products and supplements.

Lemon myrtle
Lemon myrtle is an Australian native plant/herb found in the sub-tropical rainforests of Queensland and is considered the most popular herb found in Australia due to its distinct lemon scent and flavour. A well known bushfood, lemon myrtle has been used within Aboriginal cultures for centuries, both in cuisine and as a natural medical treatment. You can find lemon myrtle in both sweet and savoury dishes including biscuits, cakes, sauces and teas, and the essential oil found in the leaves can be used to treat cuts and skin irritations. It’s high in antioxidants and nutrients including vitamin E, calcium, zinc and magnesium, helping digestive health and metabolism.
Desert lime
Desert lime is an Australian native tree found in the New South Wales, Queensland and South Australian regions of Australia. With a strong citrus flavour, the desert lime has long been used in the Australian outback to make cordials, sauces, chutneys, pickles and marmalades and working men have even eaten the fruit directly from the trees to help quench their thirst, despite the intensity of flavour. With three times the amount of vitamin C compared to oranges, desert lime is also a rich source of calcium, vitamin E and folate, which helps maintain healthy blood cells and improve brain function and memory.
Dandelion
The dandelion plant is packed with vitamins and minerals, with its nutrients found in all areas of the plant, from the roots to the leaves and flowers. Dandelions are often used in herbal teas and supplements and deliver a range of benefits to support overall health and well-being. Filled with vitamins A, B, C, E and K, dandelions also contain minerals such as iron, magnesium, calcium and potassium and are full of powerful antioxidants. Dandelions act as an anti-inflammatory, help prevent chronic disease and illness, promote general blood and liver health and support good digestion.
Liquorice root extract
Liquorice root extract has been used for medicinal purposes since ancient Egyptian times, and in Greek and Middle Eastern cultures it was used to relieve an upset stomach and as an anti-inflammatory. With a distinct, soothing flavour, liquorice root extract is packed with antioxidants and is often added to various drinks or teas, as it can help with sore throats, coughs and viral infections. It’s also been known to support digestive issues such as acid reflux, heartburn and various symptoms of indigestion.

Rosella
Rosellas are a hibiscus flower growing in the northern areas of Australia, throughout the sand dunes and on the outskirts of the rainforests. Originating in Africa, the Rosella plant was introduced to Australia and the fruit was used by Indigenous Australians for its medicinal properties and enjoyed as a form of nourishment—delivering wholesome nutrients and a subtle berry flavour. A rich source of antioxidants, vitamin C and minerals including iron, potassium, calcium and magnesium, the Rosella reduces the risk of illness and disease, boosts immunity, enhances brain function, supports eye health and provides skincare benefits. It also delivers high levels of protein which is essential for maintaining healthy bodily function and for the development of bones and muscle.
Echinacea extract
Echinacea is a flowering, herbal plant that is commonly used for its healing properties with all parts of the plant providing many health benefits. Often found in various tablets, teas and tinctures such as ours at Well Native, echinacea is high in antioxidants which help to protect the body against sickness and chronic disease. Echinacea is a popular herb for boosting immunity, being that it can help you recover more quickly from illness, or prevent it altogether if taken regularly. Echinacea can also act as an anti-inflammatory, can help to control blood sugar levels and even assist with symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Elderberry
The Elderberry tree is found along the east coast of Australia, in the warmer regions of northern Queensland, to the cooler climates of Tasmania and produces small berry-type fruit (should only be consumed when cooked) that provides a sweet, sometimes bitter flavour. Often used to make jams, desserts, cordials and even wine, elderberries are super high in antioxidants and nutrients and are filled with vitamins that protect the immune system, helping to fight off cold and flu symptoms—making the Elderberry tree one of the most popular medicinal plants in the world.
Acai berry
A well known superfood, acai berries are filled with vitamins and minerals and provide many health benefits. Originating in the rainforests of Central and South America, acai berries give an earthy taste and can often be found as a dried powder, in juices and smoothies, or as a frozen puree in acai berry bowls. Containing healthy fats and minimal sugar, acai berries are super rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against illness, disease and harmful free radicals. They can also help to lower cholesterol levels as well as improve memory and brain function.
